BOOK SIGNING AT DUSABLE MUSEUM

On Saturday, July 11, 2009 & Sunday, July 12, 2009, I was at the DuSable Museum of African American History for their 35th Annual Arts & Crafts Fair. I was at the "Meet & Greet" booth with two other authors. My publicist (a.k.a. my sister) accompanied me and encouraged passersby to buy my books with her sense of humor, good looks, and overall marketing savvy. On Sunday, my niece and her extended brood (husband & 3 kids) showed up and like her mother, my niece helped boost sales (she is her mother's child). The event was successful considering I have been out of commission for a while. I met some very interesting people, laughed a lot, and I'm motivated more than ever to submit ITPIHOY to another publisher and finish editing HPD.

p.s. For those of you who are "afraid" of the South Side, you missed out on a chance to interact with some nice folks.
